My Grandma and Papa Lawson

They moved up from Arkansas and worked very very hard, they helped us kids out as much as they could, there was never a let down or a no.  Their grandkids were there life.  They were mostly Cherokee indian so a lot of my heritage and interests lie there.

Actually seeing how they lived and took care of each other the whole extended family was one of the most learning experiences of my life. My PaPa wasn't a huggy kissy grandpa but he loved us so much and he loved my grandma with a passion, the only time I ever saw him emotional or vulnerable was after my grandma died.

We lost Grandma to Alzheimers and Grandpa a few years later to Parkinsons.

                                  My Grandma and Grandpa Bath

My mom's mother and stepfather.

They led incredible lives and adored their grandchildren, they were very giving and loving and children of God.

We lost my Grandpa after they moved out to Phoenix, he had had some strokes.  We lost my Grandma more recently, not sure why but I think she needed to be with Grandpa, I was fortunate to be able to talk with her and really get to know about her life before she left and was one of the last grandkids to see her.  She was still beautiful every step of the way.

Uncle Ronnie

Ronald Honeycutt

My uncle Ronnie was my mom's half brother-he was super fun and loud and silly and also very loving and sweet.  He loved his wife Cheryl and they fit together so well.  They had one daughter Carrie, who was very close to him.  I loved their relationship and might have been a tad jealous ").

We lost him just over a year ago, he had had lupus for quite a while and then along with that many other complications, we were lucky to get to see and say Goodbye to him before he left.

Such is life that we lose those we love, each of us handles loss differently and I myself have a really hard time understanding and accepting it. I still struggle with all of these losses and love and miss them terribly.

Billy Dale Smith

Big Billy was my stepfather.  He was a totall ass at first but then found God and realized what he had and became the best father we could have asked for.  He also reminded me of Jerry Garcia. He had a lot of problems from his partying wild man days, but his life ended happy and whole and loving.

This  is my Grandpa Ed Davis.

He was my mother's father.

We lost him to a heart attack many years ago, I still remember him though especially since the last thing he gave me were cards to give to my friends that said, "If you meet and forget me, you've lost nothing, If you meet and forget Jesus, you've lost everything"  It is so great to know he had chosen God before he left us.
